SAPS hosts Child Protection Week activities at NC schools

CHILD Protection Week activities were held at Kuilsville Primary and Danielskuil Intermediate schools on Tuesday, where pupils were shown a display of drugs and were offered information on career opportunities at the SAPS..

The acting deputy provincial commissioner for crime detection, Brigadier Nicky Mills, and the provincial head of human resource utilisation, Brigadier Gilroy Tait, attended the programme that was also addressed by Pastor Nathan Orange, who is attached to the Spiritual Crime Prevention structure in Upington, and Colonel Erica Scheepers, a provincial forensic social worker.

Pupils were informed about various career options at the SAPS by the provincial human resources career development section.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Mashay Gamieldien added that the KSDF NGO handed over sanitary towels at the schools.
