Homevale High School’s football team scooped the Frances Baard Kay Motsepe Schools Cup after winning all three competition games which were played at the Warrenton Primary school grounds last Saturday.

The Kimberley school side started off like a house on fire in their first game against Reakantswe Secondary School who they promptly clobbered 4-0 in regular time.

Next up for the marauding Homevale High was the hapless Valspan High School who absorbed another quart set of goals, losing 4-0.

The by now obviously match fatigued Homevale High still had enough ‘vavavoom’ in the tank by late afternoon to ward off an inspired attack by the renowned Mogomotsi High forwards in the last game of the contest.

Homevale managed to score three goals to two positive goal responses by Mogomotsi High. Homevale will now travel to Upington to take part in the provincial eliminations on Saturday, August 20.
