The South African Taekwondo Federation (SATF) will host a demonstration of their Kukkiwon fighting style at the Mittah Seperepere Convention centre in Kimberley on September 13 and 15.

This week the federation was in Johannesburg hosting a Taekwondo championship, and the demonstration in Kimberley is part of the federation’s national programme promoting the sport.

SATF secretary Johanna Sakoliya confirmed the federation’s plans for the Northern Cape and stressed that the Kimberley event was a demonstration which was intended to unlock public interest.

The federation’s press release shared details on the organisation. “The South African Taekwondo Federation always takes pride in acknowledging all our combined efforts in collaboration to uplift, develop and educate our communities through sports, in particular Taekwondo.

“Our partnership is a symbol of our common interest for creating a society that continuously seeks for improvement and healthy lifestyle in the modern concept.”

The event at the convention centre is scheduled to start at 2pm. The scheduling is timed to accommodate school-going children.
