The Delportshoop police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two people were killed when two trucks collided head-on approximately 20km outside of Koopmansfontein on the R31.

THE DELPORTSHOOP police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two people died when two trucks collided head-on approximately 20km outside of Koopmansfontein on the R31 on Saturday.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the accident happened at around 11am.

Kock explained that both trucks caught fire and the male driver and female passenger in one of the trucks were trapped inside the vehicle and burnt beyond recognition.

“The male driver of the other truck was alone and was transported to hospital for medical treatment,” said Kock.
