Police searching for missing 13-year-old girl

The Galeshewe police have requested the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl, Rethabile “Chooku” Jantjies.

THE GALESHEWE SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit has requested the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Rethabile “Chooku” Jantjies from Dingaan hostels, Galeshewe.

Galeshewe police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said that Rethabile was last seen on Sunday, November 27 at the Dingaan hostels.

Sam added that it is believed that Rethabile left home with some of her clothes.

“It was discovered that she might have left with some of her clothing, hence it is making the parents more concerned and worried,” said Sam.

Anyone who may have seen Rethabile or who has any information on the matter is urged to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Du Plessis, at 082 359 9230 or the Crime Stop number 08600 1011 or via the MySAPS app.

The police have reminded the public that there is no waiting period to report a person missing.
