THE FRANCES Baard District and SAPS members held a spiritual crime prevention programme at the AFM Fountain of Joy church in Madalane Street in Galeshewe.

Police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said the service on October 6 was led by SAPS employee health and wellness personnel and different faith-based organisations.

“Scripture readings and prayers were read to uplift the spirit of the men and women in blue to encourage them to remain focused on their duties and serve communities with diligence and purity in the honour of the South African Police Service code of conduct,” said Tawana.

The acting district commander, Brigadier Charlotte Makgari, reminded members that they would not be allowed to take vacation leave over the upcoming festive season as the police would be clamping down on criminals during this period.
