NC cops nab wanted housebreaking suspect in Kathu

The suspect is wanted in connection with several burglaries in the Wrenchville and Kathu area.

AN 18-YEAR-old suspect, who could be linked to several burglaries in the Wrenchville and Kathu area, was arrested by the police on Tuesday.

The man was arrested in Kathu after the provincial SAPS Tracking Team followed up on information about a wanted suspect.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Captain Sergio Kock said the housebreaking suspect was arrested at about 10am when the police team pounced on him in the Siyabuswa informal settlement, Kathu.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Kathu Magistrate’s Court soon.

The SAPS provincial management commended the members of the Tracking Team, sergeants Boitumelo Monchonyane, Kagisho Sinakgomo and Pule Sebakeng, for the arrest, as well as the community for the assistance that led to the arrest.
