The Modderrivier police have appealed to the public to assist in locating the family members of an unidentified man whose body was found on the N12 near Ritchie on October 21.

THE MODDERRIVIER police have appealed to the public to assist in locating the family members of an unidentified man whose body was found on the N12 near Ritchie on October 21.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Molefi Shemane said the man’s body was found near the Modderrivier and Ritchie crossing.

Shemane said the deceased was wearing a black T-shirt and blue shorts. He was not wearing any shoes.

Anyone who might have a missing family member fitting the description is urged to visit the Modderrivier police or to contact Detective Warrant Officer Gertrude Steenkamp on 082 448 6082 or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111. Alternatively, they can SMS anonymously to 32211 or use the MySAPS app.

Shemane reminded the public that there is no waiting period to report a person missing.
