Man nabbed for possession of suspected stolen laptop

A 22-year-old man was arrested by the Deben police after he was found in possession of a suspected stolen laptop.

A 22-YEAR-old man was arrested by the Deben police after he was found in possession of a suspected stolen laptop.

Deben SAPS spokesperson Captain Mosimaneotsile Letsapa said that Sergeant Kevin Olyn and Constable Nonofo Chiri were conducting stop-and-search operations in Deben on February 18, at about 6.30pm.

“Members found the suspect in possession of a possible suspected stolen laptop. He was arrested as he failed to prove rightful ownership,” said Letsapa.

“He will appear in the Kathu Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.”

Letsapa issued a strong warning to criminals in Deben that a zero-tolerance approach would be adopted when it comes to housebreaking and other crimes in the area.
