A 23-YEAR-old man was arrested for being in possession of an unlawful firearm and police uniform in Batlharos village outside Kuruman.
Police spokesperson Captain Mosimanegape Letsapa said the arrest followed a crime intelligence-driven operation by members of the Batlharos SAPS and JTG highway patrol.
Letsapa said the members visited a house in Batlharos on Friday after receiving information about the unlawful possession of a police uniform.
“The suspect led the police to another house and directed them to the hidden firearm,” said Letsapa.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court soon.
