A 17-YEAR-old girl and a 51-year-old man were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property by Kuruman SAPS community service centre (CSC) members.

Two CSC members were busy with patrol duties on Friday when they noticed a suspicious-looking green Ford Bantam bakkie.

Police spokesperson Captain Mosimanegape Letsapa said the bakkie failed to stop and was pursued by SAPS members.

“Two suspects were arrested as they were found in possession of suspected stolen goods including soap, tinned food and sweets, with an estimated value of R9,000, that was packed in the bakkie,” said Letsapa.

Letsapa added that the suspects could possibly be linked to a recent business robbery.

The two suspects are expected to appear before the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of suspected stolen property.
