Kimberley police seek help in identifying dead man

The Kimberley police have requested the public’s assistance in identifying a deceased man whose body was found in an open field in Barkly Road.

THE KIMBERLEY police have requested the public’s assistance in identifying a deceased man.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane said the deceased’s body was found on January 29, 2024.

“The police are investigating an inquest following the discovery of the body. The deceased person was found in an open field in Barkly Road in Kimberley,” said Gopane.

“The deceased was wearing long blue pants and a black T-shirt. The identity of the deceased is still unknown. Any person who may have a missing family member fitting the description of the deceased can contact Detective Warrant Officer Thapelo Seggie on 071 208 3094 or 053 838 4498 or 08600 10111. All information will be treated confidentially.”
