Health dept seeks family of patient in critical condition at city hospital

The Northern Cape Department of Health has requested the public’s assistance in locating the family of a patient who is currently in a critical condition in Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital.

THE NORTHERN Cape Department of Health has requested the assistance of the community in locating the family of a patient, One Sierra, who is currently in a critical condition at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital in Kimberley.

Department spokesperson Lulu Mxekezo said Sierra, who is believed to be in his late-30s, was rushed to the emergency centre and resuscitated after he was found unresponsive at the hospital on June 17, 2023.

“There is no indication of where he is from and how he came to the hospital. The patient is in a critical condition. Anyone who knows a gentleman by the name of the patient can contact Ms E Van den Berg at the Social Worker’s unit at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital on 053 802 2703 as soon as possible,” said Mxekezo.
