A Galeshewe man was shot and killed at his home in Stamper Street this morning.

Apparently 15 shots were fired including one to the deceased’s head.

The deceased is believed to be a taxi owner but the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.

It is alleged that the deceased was leaving his home when he was ambushed by the shooter.

About four shots were allegedly fired into his car.

The deceased apparently jumped out of his car and tried to flee but the shooter allegedly shot him in the back and in the head.

He died on the scene.

The number of shooters is currently unknown and it is believed that the firearm of the deceased, which he carried on him, was taken by the shooter.
