Kimberley Golf Club results for the week of 6 to 11 December 6-11 and what is happening between December 18-31 are:
The Wednesday December7 Darsha sponsored 18-hole IPS was won by Harry Welham with 41 pts. Second was S Wiid on 38 pts on a count-out over Mike Doherty and Gavin van Zyl also on 38 pts.
The Thursday December 8 KWV sponsored 9-hole IPS with power play options was won by A Williams with 27 pts with Lennie Allen 2nd on 24 pts and Johan Herselman 3rd on 21 pts.
The Friday December 9 Flamingo Sun 9-hole IPS was won by K Anoop on 23 pts with Bernie Turton 2nd on 21 pts on a count-out over Andries Kori 3rd also with 21 pts.
The Saturday December 10 KGC Fund-raiser 18-hole IPS was won by M Suliman with 41 pts. Second was DJ Fourie on 40 pts with Doc Allie 3rd on 39 pts beating Eddie Barkhuizen and J vd Westhuizen 4th and 5th respectively, also on 38 pts. Eddie also took the cake and money in the Charlies competition while Keith Brown won the Seniors outing.
The Club would like to thank all those that participated in and donated towards the Club Fund-raiser. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The following is planned for December 18-31, rounding off 2022:
• Please note that there is a special running for the month of December. Members and visitors who pay R300 can play as many holes as they wish BUT only on non-competition days.
• Players please note that you must putt out in a competition else your score will not count and that your score card must be correctly filled in.
Sunday, December 18: Social golf with special rates applying.
Monday, December 19: Course closed as usual but the office is open for business.
Tuesday, December 20: Social golf with special rates applying.
Wednesday, December 21: The OBC sponsored 18-hole IPS competition
Thursday, December 22: The KWV sponsored Niner.
Friday, December 23: The Sun Flamingo Niner.
Saturday, December 24: KGC competition IPS 18 hole as well as the weekly Charlies outing.
Sunday, December 25: Christmas Day. Course closed.
Monday, December 26: Course and office closed.
Tuesday, December 27: Social golf with special rates applying.
Wednesday, December 28: The John Dory’s sponsored 18-hole IPS competition
Thursday, December 29: The KWV sponsored Niner.
Friday, December 30: The Sun Flamingo Niner.
Saturday, December 31: KGC competition IPS 18-hole. As well as the weekly Charlies outing.
