Kimberley Golf Club results for the week of April 5-9 and next week’s programme

Results for the week of April 5-9 2023 are:

The Wednesday, April 5 Konica Minolta sponsored 18-hole BBS was won by the team of Phillip Maritz and Danie Liebenberg on 44 pts. Second were the team of L Mills and J Williams on 41pts with Barend Burger and Jacques Gouws 3rd on 40 pts. Ian Kidson and Gary Hepburn were 4th on 38 pts.

The Thursday, April 6 KWV sponsored 9-hole IPS with power play options was won by Sadick Thomas on 25 pts with Braam Botes 2nd on 24 pts and Kareem Anderson 3rd on 23 pts.

Friday, April 7 saw the start of the Easter Golf Challenge played over three days with teams of two.

The Friday, April 7 18-hole Combined STB sponsored by KWV was won by the team of Keanan Aysen and Peter Salo on 83 pts. Second were Willem Adams and Marlon Smith on 74 pts on a count-out over 3rd placed Gamiet Aysen and Gail Aysen also on 74 pts.

The Saturday, April 8 Beefmaster sponsored 18-hole BBS was won by Kobus and Riaan Dippenaar with 48 pts. Second were Neil Langley and Rashid Boughan with 45 pts on a count-out over 3rd placed Peo Maneng and Thato Stander.

The Sunday, April 9 18-hole BB Scramble drive competition sponsored by Heineken was won by the team of Neville Parker and Eddy Malouly on 49 pts on a count-out over 2nd placed Peter Salo and Venetia Salo also with 49 pts. Third also on a count-out with 49 pts were Neville Parker and Eddy Malouly also on 49 pts.

The overall winners of the three-day Easter Challenge were Gamiet and Gail Aysen with 162 pts. Second were Peter Raubenheimer and Peter Haddad on 161 pts and 3rd were Neville Parker and Eddy Malouly on 160 pts.

The Charlies BBS prize was won by the team of Kat Swanepoel and Patrick Ansley.

Saturday, April 15: The Masters IPS played over 36 holes.

Sunday, April 16: Social Golf with special rates applying.

Monday, April 17: Course is closed but the office is open for business.

Tuesday, April 18: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, April 19: The OBC sponsored 18-hole IPS followed by the Club AGM.

Thursday, April 20: The KWV sponsored Niner.

Friday, April 21: The Flamingo sponsored Niner.

Saturday, April 22: The monthly Seniors outing as well as the KGC competition.

Sunday, April 23: Social Golf with special rates applying.

Monday, April 24: Course is closed but the office is open for business.

Tuesday, April 25: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, April 26: The John Dorys OBC sponsored 18-hole IPS.

Thursday, April 27: The KWV sponsored Niner.

Friday, April 28: The Flamingo sponsored Niner.

Saturday, April 29: The KGC championships played over 36 holes.

Sunday, April 30: Social Golf with special rates applying.
