RESULTS from the Kimberley Golf Club for the week of June 7-11 are:

Wednesday Konica Minolta Sponsored BBS competition: Winners were Nico Fourie and Doc Doherty on 46 pts followed by Wikus and William on 45. Third was Q Shaefer and G van Zyl on 44 with Barend Burger and Gavin Schaefer 4th on 43 pts.

The Thursday KWV winner was K Anoop on 27 pts with H Posthumus 2nd on 26 pts followed by L Poonawassy on 24 pts.

The Friday Sun Flamingo Niner was won by D Thomas with 21 pts on a count out over K Anderson. C Posthumus was third on 19 pts.

The Saturday IPS and BBS club competition with meat packages prizes sponsored by the 75 on Milner Lodge was won by Henri Bloemerus and T Pope on 48 pts with P Maritz and Nico Ross 2nd on 45 pts on a count out. Two lucky draw meat hampers went to Allan Doherty / Stefan le Roux and Neville Parker and Eddie Malouly.

Looking ahead to what is planned for June 17-26:

Friday, June 17: Kidney Awareness sponsored golf day.

Saturday, June 18: Here is something different and exciting. This will be a challenge between golfers from the KGC and those from Hope Town, Jacobsdal and Hartswater. The format will be a BB and BB Match Play. The Diamond Sub Union players will also be playing a Medal competition.

Sunday, June 19: There is a SAGDB golf event for juniors starting at 9am. All juniors are welcome. Social golf will continue with special rates applying.

Monday, June 20: Course is closed as usual.

Tuesday, June 21: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, June 22: John Dory’s Sponsored IPS competition.

Thursday, June 23 is the KWV Niner with special rates applying.

Friday, June 24 is the Sun Flamingo Niner with Friday special rates applying if you tee off before 11am.

Saturday, June 25 is the Club IPS and BBS competition. The KGC Charlies group will be travelling to Magersfontein for the first of the 3 annual challenge matches.

Sunday, June 26: The Sealing Solutions Social League.

The 2022 Oppenheimer KGC, the 2022 KGC Better Ball Match Play and the 2022 KGC Blacklaws Match play Competitions are in full swing and results will be published in due course.

Bookings for the annual Barney Barnato tournament are also open with the entry form published on the KGC website. Once booked and paid please send the club proof of payment so that the booking can be reserved.
