Results for the week of July 19 to 22 are:

The Wednesday, July 19 OBC-sponsored 18-hole IPS was won by Siewert Wild on 38pts. Second was Gavin Schafer on 36pts on a count-out over Gavin van Zyl with the same score.

The Thursday, July 20 KWV-sponsored 9-hole IPS with power play options was won by Herman Posthumus with an excellent 30pts. Second was Shane Arthur on 22pts on a count-out over Kevin Wakeford also on 22pts.

The Friday, July 21 Flamingo Niner was won by Zayied Sulliman on 21pts with Andries Kori 2nd on 19pts. Third was Chris Gordon on 17pts on a count-out over Sadick Thomas also on 17.

The Saturday, July 22 KGC-sponsored 18-hole IPS was won by Joanie Herselman on 40pts with club captain Cedric van der Ross 2nd on 37pts and Doc Allie 3rd on 31pts.

Joanie Herselman achieved a golfer’s dream by shooting a hole-in-one on the 4th, her first in 30 years of playing the game. Joanie also won the weekly Charlies outing.

A very successful Northern Cape Junior tournament was played over Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July. The following are the winners in the different age divisions.

Overall: 1st Lourens Maritz on 225, 2nd Christoff Posthumus on 240, 3rd Johan Oldewage on 241.

Under-19: 1st Lourens Maritz on 225, 2nd Roland van Tonder on 244, 3rd David van der Merwe on 244.

Under-17: Christoff Posthumus on 240, 2nd Johan Oldewage on 241, 3rd Jamain Cloete on 251.

Under-15: 1st PJ Maritz on 261, 2nd Drikus Oldewage on 282, 3rd Aiden Ryneveldt on 282.

Under-13: 1st Jake Vermeulen on 171, 2nd Delrico Agterdam on 193 and 3rd Jude Diedericks on 197.

Under-11: 1st Caiden Ryneveldt on 209, 2nd Xander Steyn on 214 and 3rd Drew Diedericks on 223. Best nett: Riaan Dippenaar on 211. Well played all.

Note winners have to be present at prize giving to get the prize.

Friday, July 28: Flamingo Niner.

Saturday, July 29: Club 18-hole IPS competition and the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, July 30: Sunday League with Social golf to follow.

Monday, July 31: Course closed but office open for business.

Tuesday, August 1: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, August 2: Konica Minolta sponsored 18-hole BBS.

Thursday, August 3: KWV-sponsored Niner with power play options.

Friday, August 4: Flamingo Niner.

Saturday, August 5: New Vaal sponsored Club fund-raiser. BBS with mystery scoring on certain holes. Also the monthly Seniors outing with BBS format as well as the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, August 6: Social golf.

Monday, August 7: Course closed but office open for business.
