Kimberley Golf Club results and next week’s programme

Results for the week of August 2-5 are:

The Wednesday, August 2 Konica Minolta sponsored 18-hole BBS was won by the team of Gary Hepburn and Jason Barnes on 47pts. Second were Zayied Suliman and Imran Kathree on 46pts with Barrie van Zyl and Barend Burger 3rd on 45pts.

The Thursday, August 3 KWV-sponsored 9-hole IPS with power play options was won by Kevin Antil on 25pts with Shane Arthur 2nd on 21pts and Charn-Marc de Meillon 3rd on 20pts.

The Friday, August 4 Flamingo-sponsored Niner was won by Chris Gordon on 20pts with Muzapher Allie 2nd on a count-out with 19pt over 3rd placed Peter Raubenheimer also with the same score. Andries Kori was 4th on 18pts.

The Saturday, August 5 New Vaal Mercedes sponsored Club fund-raiser on BBS format over 18-holes was won by the team of Shaun Durant and Reimund Meisenheimer with the excellent score of 53pts. Second were Joan Herselman and Susanne Ferreira on 50pts with Dee Kidson and Helena Janse 3rd on 48pts. Joan Herselman and Susanne Ferreira also won the Charlies competition.

The Seniors BBS outing was won by Harry Welham and Jasper Kroep with 45pts while Keith Brown took the individual prize with 38pts.

PLEASE NOTE that the visitor fee for 18 holes has been reduced to R350 except for corporate and other special days.

Players please note that you must putt out in a competition else your score will not count and that your score card must be correctly filled in.

Friday, August 11: Northern Cape Cricket Golf Day.

Saturday, August 12: Club IPS competition and the weekly Charlies outing. Eight Seniors are travelling to Parys for a Seniors competition Saturday and Sunday. Wish us well.

Sunday, August 13: Social golf.

Monday, August 14: Course closed but office open for business.

Tuesday, August 15: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, August 16: OBS Chicken sponsored IPS over 18 holes.

Thursday, August 17: Kidney Golf Day.

Friday, August 18: Flamingo Casino sponsored Niner.

Saturday, August 19: Club IPS competition and the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, August 20: Social golf as well as an invitation to all Juniors to come and play under the tutelage of William. Cost is R140 per entry.

Monday, August 21: Course closed but office open for business.
