Results of the past week and a look forward to the week ahead.

Results from the Kimberley Golf Club for the week of August 2-7 are:

The Wednesday Darsha sponsored IPS was won by Kevin Collings with 40 pts on a count-out over Barries van Zyl also on 40. Third was Sievert Wiid on 37 with Barend Burger 4th on 35 pts.

The Thursday KWV sponsored Niner was won by Keith Brown on 29 pts with Parks Mashaboa 2nd on 27 pts on a count-out over Johan Herselman 3rd also on 27 pts.

The Sun Flamingo Corporate day was won by Clive Korope on 42 pts on a count-out over Johan Herselman also on 42. Third was Ivan Coetzee on 40 pts on a count-out over Helena Janse 4th also on 40 pts.

The Saturday Horseshoe-Airport Hotel and Kalahari Lodge IPS Medal was won by Nigel Page with a best nett of 66. Keith Brown won the A Division IPS with 44 pts while Herbie Woodbridge won the B and C divisions.

The latest standings of the Sealing Solutions sponsored Sunday League is: Terminators on 52, Sealing Solutions on 40.5, Puffies on 39, Rising Stars on 34, Motley Crew on 33.5, C-Pac on 29 and the Golf Shop bringing up the rear on 26.

• Players please note that you must putt out in a competition else your score will not count.

Friday, August 12: The MVD Kalahari sponsored Northern Cape Cricket Corporate Golf Day. The format is 18 hole IPS and entry fee is R2000 per 4 ball. KGC members pay R1200 per four ball. There will be some Proteas, NC Heat and ITEC Knights cricketers playing so come and meet them.

Saturday, August 13: The Beefmaster’s sponsored Captains Golf day IPS format.

Sunday, August 14: Social golf with special rates.

Monday, August 15: Course closed as usual but remember the office is open for business.

Tuesday, August 16: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, August 17: The OBC sponsored IPS competition.

Thursday, August 18: KWV Sponsored Niner with a special rate for a golf cart of R150.

Friday, August 19: Course closed for private Corporate day.

Saturday, August 20: The KGC sponsored IPS competition as well as the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, August 21: Social golf with special rates applying.

• Bookings for the annual Barney Barnato tournament are also open with the entry form published on the KGC website. Once booked and paid please send the club proof of payment so that the booking can be reserved.
