On Monday, Warrenvale Stars FC, the Warrenton-based club which was recently elevated to the third tier ABC Motsepe League went on a publicity blitz around the province in which they introduced the players to their followers.

George Senye, the publicity manager at Warrenvale Stars, announced the launch of the team’s ‘Off the Pitch’ programme through which he circulated a WhatsApp number wherein the club encouraged its fans to come to know the team better.

Senye provided a landline number for fans to call in and talk to the team members. According to that programme the club on Monday spent time messaging their fans via a live community radio broadcast from the Upington-based community radio station Radio Riverside.

In the off season the team was looking at ramping up their squad ahead of their first official match in the ABC Motsepe League. A cohort of new players were brought on board from the trials and are part of the team being introduced to the fans.
