Tent pegging champions catapulted to the SA junior development team

Four Kimberley tent pegging competitors from the Jacobsdal riding club have been chosen to represent the South African junior tent pegging (gymkhana) development team.

Four Kimberley tent pegging (gymkhana) competitors from the Jacobsdal riding club have been chosen to represent the South African junior tent pegging development team.

The team competed in the junior South African Tent Pegging championships that were held in Rawsonville in the Western Cape from December 13-15.

The top five riders from the riding club – Mienke van Niekerk, Carli van Niekerk, Danike Viljoen, Jodie Haward and Eldrico March, were selected out of a group of 40 competitors, to take part for the first time in the national championships.
