The Cape side has registered just four wins from their 11 games and are currently in eighth position on the NFD standings
Muhsin Ertugral has resigned as head coach of Ajax Cape Town.
The Turkish coach has, for a while now, been frustrated by Ajax’s lack of fight in the NFD. And, after they lost 2-1 to Witbank Spurs on Saturday, it appears that was the final straw for Ertugral, who handed in his resignation.
He was asked by the Cape club to reconsider, but, yesterday afternoon, the decision was final.
Ajax confirmed Ertugral had left – and they would be making an announcement on a new coach in due course.
The Cape side has registered just four wins from their 11 games and are currently in eighth position on the NFD standings.
“Muhsin’s dedication and love for the club remained up until his last game in charge, but unfortunately results were not forthcoming,” said Ajax chief executive Ari Efstathiou.
