SAFA Frances Baard Regional League closes shop for the year

The second round of the 2021-22 season fixtures will likely resume on 22 January 2022

THE SAFA Frances Baard Regional League this week posted its year-end season closure notice indicating that last weekend’s matches which were played on Sunday November 28 were the last fixtures for the conference.

Safa Frances Baard regional league secretary Ponatshego Mondela said: “Of the 2021-22 Regional League first round only two fixtures are outstanding. These will be played in the new year.

“One fixture was due to be decided by the Safa disciplinary Committee (DC) on Wednesday 1 December.”

Mondela said the Safa Regional Competitions Committee will hold a teams meeting on Sunday 16 January 2022 in Barkly West at a venue yet to be communicated.

He said the second round of the 2021-22 season fixtures will likely resume on 22 January 2022.

Mondela said: “The offices of the Regional League itself will only close on Monday 16 December 2021 to and reopen on Sunday 9 January 2022. I want to take this opportunity to wish you on behalf of the Regional Competitions Committee and Management Committee a well deserved rest and a happy, safe and accountable festive month as well as a prosperous new year.”
