Louw expressed his gratitude that NBL would be the Union’s main business partners, and also spoke about the value of such a partnership
President of the Griqua Rugby Union, Jannie Louw, announced on Friday evening at the sponsorships function at Tafel Lager Park that Namibian Breweries Limited (NBL) will once again be the main sponsor of Griqua rugby for the third year in a row.
He emphasised the incredible positive passion that the whole NBL team brought to Griqua Rugby and expressed his thanks for their part of the past two years.
Louw expressed his gratitude that NBL would be the Union’s main business partners, and also spoke about the value of such a partnership.
He expressed his gratitude to all the other sponsors, supporters and the Union staff for their unwavering support and hard work for the past season and spoke about their big hope for the forthcoming season.
The president used the opportunity to invite other businesses to also become partners with Griqua Rugby.
He explained that hosting a professional outfit, especially a smaller country rugby union, is a huge honour. However, the president added that if other businesses, as well as the provincial government, do not get involved in the financial support of the team, then there was always a risk that continuing will not be economically viable.
