THE SOL Plaatje Masters Football League (SPMFL) reported on Tuesday that they are considering either awarding equal points or replaying the postponed match involving Pescodia Masters FC who lost a member in a vehicle accident on match day last Sunday.

SPMFL spokesman Zon Flatela confirmed that Pescodia Masters player Richard ‘CCV’ Papier died in a vehicle accident on Sunday while en route to honour his club’s fixture against Burning Spear FC which was scheduled for the AR Abass stadium in Square Hill Park.

Pescodia Masters spokesman David Kok also confirmed Papier’s passing and expressed his and the team’s condolences towards the bereaved family.

Kok said the club had met the Papier family and will assist where they can.

Details of the burial will be released shortly by the Papier family.

Flatela said the league’s competitions committee will sit shortly to rule on the status of the postponed social league match.
