Depending on the height of the handicaps, fortitude and arithmetic – in equal parts – may well be required in combined matchplay, the format for yesterday’s Sealing Solution’s League outing that is based on medal net.

The net points results were Coastal Hire 6 vs 12 Lenong, SABAT 18 vs 0 Motley Crew, C-Pac 12 vs 11 Sealing Solutions, The Golf Shop 0 vs 17 Mr. Delivery.

Aggregate points to date are Mr. Delivery 68.5, SABAT 59.5, Coastal Hire 54.5, C-Pac 53.0, Sealing Solutions 52.0, Lenong 51.5, Golf Shop 48.0 and the Motley Crew 42.0.

Neil Langley continued with his current form to take the Saturday IPS on 39 stableford points. Brenton Marthinus was the runner-up, just one point behind. A multi count- out on 37 points placed Mietie Aysen third and Kobus Strydom fourth.

Meanwhile, on the same day, 100 kilometres away at the Koffiefontein Golf Club, Kimberley’s Andries Kori carded a blistering nine-under par gross 63 to equal the course record. Such was the occasion that his 45 individual stableford points gave him only third place.

Ramon Barlow carded a gross 37 to post 22 points for a comfortable win in the Friday Sun Flamingo Meat Niner. Wade King (20), Flexx Rantoa (20), Parks Mashabao (19), and Francois Schwartz (19) were the remaining winners.

Luchmen Poonawassy returned an eight-pointer, a six-pointer and the better count-out to win the Thursday KWV Powerplay Niner. Dave Wilson was the runner-up on the same score, two six-pointers to count. Braam Botes, with one six-pointer, was third on 22 points.

Top team in the Wednesday Konica Minolta Business League outing was PA Walter on 45 betterball points. Vodacom were second on 42, with Horses for Courses third on 41. Individually 37 points was the best score, three players returning such, Stephan Le Roux, Gerhard Delport and Allan Doherty.

The Coming Week

It is the Leon’s House of Liquor IPS on Wednesday and the KWV Powerplay Niner on Thursday. On Friday there is a QACCS Tournament late morning followed mid-afternoon by the Sun Flamingo Niner and the snowball draw.

On Saturday it is the OBC Chicken monthly medal.
