The Kimberley chapter of the SA National Body Builders Association (Sanba) is preparing its charges for the upcoming development championships to be held in Lime Acres on September 2.

Kimberley Sanba coach, Tich Markham said the club recently had a successful outing in Paarl where Ebenheizer Nero (22) and Reginald Solomon (24) secured third and fourth place respectively.

Markham said it had taken 11 months of hard training and intense discipline for the two to secure podium finishes. Besides the Lime Acres’ appointment, the local club is also set on entering for the national championships at the Bellville Civic Centre on September 29-30.

The two club mates, Nero and Solomon, are keen to take part in that competition and in preparation have resorted to a strict diet and posing routine in anticipation of doing well. Markham said the two musclemen are keen on participating in next year’s world championships set down for Guadaloupe in the West Indies in November.

Markham said the local Sanba outfit has recently been boosted by one of their own, namely Charles Notyopo, who graduated from his practical judging exam with 82 percent. Notyopo will now be included on Sanba’s national judging panel.
