The results from the Kimberley Golf Club for the week of October 3-9 are as follows:

The Wednesday Darsha sponsored IPS competition was won by Barend Burger with 39 pts with Harry Welham 2nd on 38 pts on a count-out over Nigel Page.

The KWV sponsored Thursday Niner was won by Braam Botes on 26 pts with Hannes Le Roux 2nd on 25 pts and Zullie Sulliman 3rd on a count-out with 22pts.

The Friday Flamingo Niner was won by Jaco Janse on 22 pts with K Anoop 2nd on 21 pts on a count-out over K Anderson with Tenderson Manyetsa 4th on 20 pts.

The Saturday Sol Plaatjie University Chancellor’s Golf Day was won by visitor Robert Sampie on 43 pts on a count-out over Wian Steynberg also on 43 pts. Third was Lutchman Poonawassy on 42 pts.

The ladies winner was Joanie Herselman on 38 pts with Gladys Poonawassy 2nd on 34 pts and Rowena Majiedt 3rd on 33 pts.

Nearest to the pin prizes went to Neil Langley (4th hole), Nicole Morris (6th hole), Willie Delport (11th hole) and Stephan le Roux (14th hole).

The prize for the weekly Saturday Charlies outing was shared between Johan and Joanie Herselman and Leon Blom.

Players please note that you must putt out in a competition else your score will not count.

Today: The Sun Flamingo Niner Special with special rates for teeing off before 11am.

Tomorrow: The FNB sponsored IPS competition with prizes valued at R10,000 and a R30,000 reward for a hole-in-one on the 6th. Also the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, October 16: Social golf with special rates applying.

Monday, October 17: Course closed as usual but remember the office is open for business.

Tuesday, October 18: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, October 19: The OBC sponsored IPS competition.

Thursday, October 20: The KWV Sponsored Niner with a special rate for a golf cart of R150.

Friday, October 21: The Sun Flamingo Niner Special with special rates for teeing off before 11am.

Saturday, October 22: The KGC and Trinity Methodist church IPS competition. Also the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, October 23: Social golf with special rates applying.

Bookings for the annual Barney Barnato tournament are also open with the entry form published on the KGC website.

Once booked and paid please send the club proof of payment so that the booking can be reserved.

• It is now nine days to the start of the Barney on Monday, October 24.
