Griquas looking forward to fixing what was broken in last outing

The Tafel Lager Griquas will be taking on the Toyota Cheetahs in their second pre-season friendly at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein today. The Kimberley team will be hoping to improve on their performance of last week where the Cheetahs won handsomely with a 40-7 margin.

Scott Mathie, the Griquas head coach, told the DFA that the team needed this run to test how much they have improved.

“We are looking forward to this encounter where we want to correct the wrongs of last weekend and it is another great opportunity to get much-needed game time,” the coach said.

“We are looking forward to the challenge and looking for a great improvement, before we take on the Bulls next Saturday at Loftus Versveld in the first round of the competition.”

The same system will be used at this friendly as last week’s where all 32 players will get some game time.
