KIMBERLEY’S Horseshoe Motel will on Sunday, June 19 host the Griqualand West Primary Schools Rugby Association’s (GWPSRA) Craven Week’s junior colours and capping ceremony starting at 6pm.

The event at the Horseshoe Motel’s Horse Room will purely be a ceremonial function to initiate a training session for the junior rugby sides at the Diamantveld High sports complex running from Monday June 20-22.

Thereafter the teams will depart for Klerksdorp to start the Craven Week Under-13 tournament at the Klerksdorp High school grounds from June 23 and will conclude on June 25.

GWPSRA president Adriaan Laubscher confirmed that in Kimberley on Sunday the association will issue provincial colours and host a capping ceremony for the junior athletes attending the Under-12 and Under-13 Craven Week rugby festival.

The DFA erroneously reported that the Craven Week tournament will take place at Kimberley’s Diamantveld High school sports complex. The correct venue is Krugersdorp for the Under-12 segment of the tournament and Klerksdorp for the Under-13 phase of the event.

The error and inconvenience caused is regretted.
