THE NORTHERN Cape provincial chess federation will host the Over-The-Board Northern Cape Women’s Open tournament at Technical High School in Kimberley starting at 8am on Saturday, August 21.
According to a statement issued by the tournament organisers on Monday, the tournament will feature the following sections:
(1) Senior Women
(2) Primary School Girls
(3) High School Girls
(4) Senior Males
(5) Boys Under-18 (born on or before 2004)
The tournament rules will conform to the international (FIDE) and Chess SA regulations.
Registration for the women’s and juniors’ section will be R150 while for all the males sections the fee is set at R180 per person.
