Sri Lanka were rewarded early on when the Proteas lost the wicket of Aiden Markram for just 15 runs.
South Africa whitewashed Sri Lanka in the T20 International series last night when they romped to a 45-run (DLS) win at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
Sri Lanka sent the hosts in to bat after skipper Lasith Malinga won the toss, and were rewarded early on when the Proteas lost the wicket of Aiden Markram for just 15 runs.
Unfortunatley for the Sri Lankans, Reeza Hendricks (66, 52 balls, 8x4s, 2x6s) and Dwaine Pretorious (77 not out, 42 balls, 7x4s, 3x6s) then kicked on to take the advantage away from the visitors.,
The Sri Lankans in their response were rattled early on in their innings and when a sudden thunderstorm sent everyone running for shelter they were on 111/6, 17 runs behind the DLS par score.
When the teams returned to the field the South Africans wrapped things up quickly, dismissing the visitors for 137 with only Niroshan Dickwella (38 off 22 balls) and their slugger Isuru Udana (36 off 23 balls) managing to get on top of the SA bowling attack.
Andile Phehlukwayo was the chief destroyer for the Proteas with his 4/24 in three overs.
