Archery clubs to compete at the Kimberley SPCA in support of a worthy cause

NO CASH please. That’s the message from Africa Genesis Archery (AGA) Northern Cape as they gear up to host an exciting archery club competition at the Kimberley SPCA on Saturday, July 22.

This event promises to bring together skilled archers from various clubs, including Kimberley, Schweizer-Reneke, Bloemfontein, Kroonstad, and Welkom, but what makes this competition truly special is the entry fee required for participants.

Archers who wish to partake in the event are asked to contribute a bag or a few tins of dog or cat food. This unique entry requirement underscores the organisers’ commitment to supporting the local community and the welfare of animals.

While the archery competition is exclusively for club members, members of the public are invited to join in the festivities and explore a range of stalls offering delicious delights and engaging activities.

To get your tastebuds tantalised in advance, AGA Northern Cape, for their part, will host a stall in support of their club where mini pizzas and samoosas will be available for purchase.

Additionally, the Kimberley SPCA’s Charity Shop and Tea Garden will be open, offering an assortment of delectable treats such as wors rolls, pies, curry, and rice, as well as refreshing beverages like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, as well as cold drinks.

The younger attendees can also enjoy the Kimberley SPCA ‘Spin & Win’ stall.

It gets even better. For those interested in meeting and potentially adopting a furry friend, the Kimberley SPCA dog and cat kennels will be open until 12 noon, providing an opportunity to connect with animals in need of loving homes. Anyone who has adopted an animal will not hesitate to tell you that a rescued animal actually rescues the owner.

“We encourage everyone to come out and support the stalls. This event serves a noble cause, and your participation will make a significant difference,” said the event organiser.
