Following their loss to South Western Districts in the Khaya Majola Under-19 Cricket Week on Monday, the Northern Cape Cricket Under-19 team once again failed in another Time Cricket match against their Easterns counterparts at the MHS Meadows Oval in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.

Electing to bat first, NCC was skittled out for a miserable 114 in just 33.4 overs in their first innings. The highest contributions with the bat came from Foster Lubbe (23) and Casper du Plessis (22) who got starts but could not kick on against a motivated Easterns bowling attack.
