A stampede at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg during a pre-season match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates left two people dead on Saturday.

SA Football Association spokesperson Dominic Chimhavi confirmed the news, but further details were unknown.

Chiefs and Pirates were playing each other in the Carling Black Label Champion Cup.
