ANOTHER protest has broken out at Eskom’s Kusile power station in Mpumalanga. Residents from the surrounding areas were protesting about a lack of employment opportunities at Eskom. They prevented Eskom workers from entering the premises.

The protesters came from the Phola, Ogies and Welge communities.

Videos circulating on social media show security guards at the power station trying to control protesters, some of whom are singing Struggle songs.

A few weeks ago the country was plunged into stage 6 load shedding as workers at several power stations at Eskom downed tools over a wage disagreement.
