Cosatu said today that the strike is intended to fight corruption, state capture and job losses.
Cosatu general-secretary Bheki Ntshalintshali said the strike will be legally protected and will affect all sectors of the economy.
He also said that Cosatu wants the judicial commission of inquiry into state capture to go back all the way to the pre-1994 era.
