Youth centre to host GBVF awareness training

THE YOUTH and Development Safety Care Centre non-profit organisation in Barkly West will host a gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) awareness workshop on March 27, from 7am to 8am, at the De Beershoogte Primary School hall.

The chairperson of the youth centre, Dominic Jammer, said various stakeholders including the police, Lifeline, the Department of Justice, Father a Nation, the SA Human Rights Commission, the Department of Education and the Department of Social Development would offer training in a bid to eradicate GBVF.

Jammer said all community members are welcome to attend.
