Police spokesperson Captain Bashoabile Kale said that the Roodepan Crime Prevention and Crime Intelligence units received information about a suspected drug house in Kanana informal settlement. The house was put under surveillance and a search warrant was obtained.

“During the search, the police found about 128 bankies of tik, 29 ice packs of tik, 11 full Mandrax tablets and five halves and four quarters of mandrax tablets. One packet of cat and an undisclosed amount of cash was also confiscated,” said Kale.

“The total estimated street value of the drugs is R300,000.
