Two other accused also appeared in the Pofadder Magistrate’s Court on Monday
SURETHA Brits, 30, the wife of the murdered owner of the Pofadder Hotel, Leon Brits, 41, has been denied bail after appearing in the Pofadder Magistrate’s Court.
The two other accused in the matter – Amantle Bareki, 24, and Enrich Williams, 34 – also appeared in the Pofadder Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The accused are facing charges of murder, aggravated robbery and perjury as well as the possession of an illegal firearm.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Captain Sergio Kock said the case was postponed to July 5.
The body of Leon Brits was found floating in the swimming pool at one of his properties in Pofadder. He had sustained several stab wounds.
Several valuables including firearms, a cellphone, Krugerrands, polished diamonds and cash were taken from the premises during an apparent robbery.
