CITY residents can expect to have water in their homes by the end of Sunday, June 27, 2021.
This is according to the Sol Plaatje Municipality who said repair work on its water supply system had been completed.
Municipal spokesperson, Sello Matsie said the last of installations on the 600 mm bulk supply line next to Roodepan had been done.
“The contractor is tightening up screws while the waterworks teams have started opening isolating valves and scourer valves.
“The Riverton Purification Plant has been switched on, and line-filling will commence in due course. Once both lines have been fully charged, opening of water will start and all areas should start receiving water supply,” he said.
Matsie commended residents for their patience during the three-day water shutdown.
‘The Sol Plaatje Municipality would once more would like to thank you all for your cooperation,” said Matsie.
