A WANTED suspect who has been “evading” arrest has been traced and found inside a correctional facility in Kuruman.
Police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said yesterday that the police were searching for Katlego Sylvester Sebolai in connection with several criminal cases.
“The Northern Cape provincial tracking team followed up a lead, subsequent to being tasked to trace Sebolai on cases related to a car hijacking in Batlharos, armed robbery in Pampierstad, the unlawful possession of a firearm in Mothibistad and a rape in Pampierstad,” said Tawana.
He added that the suspect was found detained at Kuruman prison on May 3.
“He is serving a four-year prison sentence for escaping from lawful custody. The suspect is expected to appear soon before the respective magistrate’s court.”
