A wanted rape suspect was arrested close to his house in Bloemanda, Galeshewe, and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
A WANTED rape suspect, who was arrested close to his house in Bloemanda, Galeshewe, is expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Mashay Gamieldien said a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest on November 2, 2020.
“He evaded the police despite numerous efforts to apprehend him.”
She said members of the Frances Baard district detective task team, Sergeant Jacobs, Sergeant Bessie and Sergeant Van Bosch, followed up on leads that led them to the suspect’s “hideout” in Bloemanda.
“The suspect was arrested on November 1, at 6pm, close to his house in Bloemanda in Galeshewe.
“He will appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on a charge of rape.”
