The patient who was seriously injured in Barkly Road in Kimberley on July 30 after reportedly being hit by a taxi has been positively identified.

THE PATIENT who was seriously injured in Barkly Road on July 30 after reportedly being hit by a taxi has been positively identified.

He is being treated at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital in Kimberley where he is reported to be in a serious condition and unable to speak.

The Roodepan police had on Monday appealed to the public for help in locating the man’s relatives.

SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Molefi Shemane said on Tuesday that he had been identified by his relatives.
