TWO PEOPLE were killed instantly when a two-ton truck collided with a Nissan bakkie at the Marydale crossing near Prieska yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Mohale Ramatseba, said that police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
“The two-ton truck was carrying four people when it collided with the bakkie at the Marydale Crossing at about 6am on Sunday morning. The driver of the truck, aged 42, and a female passenger, aged 43, were killed instantly. The two passengers from the truck sustained serious injuries and were admitted to Kimberley Hospital.
“The driver of the bakkie was also admitted to Kimberley Hospital with serious injuries while the female passenger was lightly injured.
“The bakkie was from Prieska and the truck was from the Eastern Cape,” Ramatseba said.
