TWO people were left injured last night when their light motor vehicle crashed into a residence on Hugo Street in Brandwag, Free State.

According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 7.15 pm to find several other services already in attendance. “A wrecked light motor vehicle was found smashed against the residence,” Meiring said.

He added that on closer inspection, medics found a man believed to be in his 20s, seated inside the vehicle while another man in his 20s, was found walking around on the scene.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that the man seated inside the vehicle had sustained serious injuries to his one leg while the other man had sustained only moderate injuries,” Meiring said.

He added that the patients were treated for their injuries and the seriously injured man provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
