TWO South African Defence Force (SANDF) members died after they were involved in an accident at Diskobolos Army Base in Kimberley on Sunday evening at approximately 6pm.
Three of the five occupants in the vehicle were rushed to hospital, while two died on the scene. One of the injured passengers is believed to be in a critical condition.
Two of the injured occupants were transported by Emer-G-Med to hospital.
It is believed that the car hit a concrete wall and burst into flames.
SANDF members extinguished the flames.
The front-end of the vehicle was badly mangled.
The road was partially closed and emergency employees were on site to direct the traffic.
