Two alleged drug dealers who were under police surveillance in Postmasburg, were arrested after they were found in possession of crystal meth.

TWO alleged drug dealers who were under police surveillance in Postmasburg, were arrested after they were found in possession of crystal meth.

Police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said the arrests were made on June 22 during crime prevention operations that were conducted by the Northern Cape Provincial Crime Intelligence together with Kimberley K9 Unit.

“The focus of the operation was to clamp down on identified drug dealers in the areas of Postmasburg, Kathu and Kuruman.”

He stated that the police raided the homes of the 36 and 28 year old suspects in Postmasburg where they found crystal meth weighing 28,27 grams.

“Cash that is believed to have been generated as the proceeds of drug dealing was also confiscated. The suspects were also found in possession of a digital scale. They are expected to appear in the Postmasburg Magistrate’s court soon.”
