THE GALESHEWE Family Violence, Child, and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) has traced the mother who removed her twins from the custody of their grandmother.

It is believed that the suspect took the twins to withdraw her pension money on May 6 and never returned home.

Sergeant Timothy Sam said the policing tracing team worked around the clock and safely reunited the twins with their grandmother on Saturday 1May 14.

“The suspect was arrested and will appear in court on Monday May 16.”

The unit commander Lieutenant Colonel Marli Strydom extended her appreciation to the public for their support and assistance in locating the suspect and commended Sergeant Van Rensburg, Sergeant Adams and Secretary Damoense for ensuring the safe return of the twins.
